Thiruvanannthapuram - In a political
vendetta most shameful, a group of alleged CPM workers, slashed the foot
of a one and half-year -old baby girl in the Nettyyattinkara constituency
of Thiruvananthapuram on Friday night.
A group of armed hoodlums surrounded
the house of a BJP worker Santosh in the Athiyannur panchayat.
They threw crude bombs to scare away the neighbours and broke open his
house. They attacked Santosh and his wife Kalakumari. Santosh
sustained injuries but managed to save himself.
The attackers turned their ire at
the baby which had waken up., A sword cut removed the baby's left
foot, said the Neyyattinkara po9lice. The police arrested three peopole
and registered a case of attempt to murder. The BJP has called for
a hartal in Neyyattinkara on Monday.
