NEW DELHI, OCT. 23. The Vishwa Hindu
Parishad and Bajrang Dal today warned the Bangladesh Government of ``dire
consequences'' including retaliatory attacks on illegal Bangladeshi nationals
in India if atrocities on Hindus there do not come to a stop by tomorrow.
The Dal's national convener, Mr.
Surendra Jain and the Delhi unit president of VHP, Mr. Om Prakash Singhal,
who led a demonstration outside the Bangladeshi High Commission here, told
the officials, ``we will not be able to stop our youth from reacting. The
Bangladeshis will have to face the consequences.''
``Over 1,000 refugees have reached
Tripura while in Bengal more than 1,000 families have arrived ever since
Begum Khaleda Zia took over,'' Mr. Jain told PTI after a meeting with the
mission officials.
Earlier, hundreds of VHP, Bajrang
Dal, Hindu Manch and Hindu Mahasabha activists marched to the mission in
the Lajpat Nagar area of south Delhi raising anti-Bangladesh and anti-
Khaleda Zia slogans.
