Cost Of Patriotism

Cost Of Patriotism

What would you do with some one who says that India is my country and I firmly believe in the constitution and do not want to be given special treatment from other citizens? Well of course, dump them and keep them in refugee camps where conditions are worse than rat holes. You compensate them with money less than the terrorists who kill people with impunity.

For a change, I am not talking about the refugee camps in Gujarat and the horrible miseries the Muslims had to suffer. In fact, I have been enlightened by a few 'learned' liberals that at no time in the world history has such atrocities been carried out. Neither during the European Holocaust nor during the Crusade during medivial times. Such atrocities didn't happen during the centuries of colonial rule in South America, or on the American Indians. The aborigines of Australia were also very fortunate to have the angels flying down from heaven in the form of missionaries and showing them the path to heaven (of course without any pressure). Why? Even during the Direct Action day initiated by the Great Mohd Ali Jinnah, when 20,000 Hindus were killed in a day in West Bengal, did such atrocities happen. Or recently in Bangladesh, where Hindus were raped, looted and murdered in the hundreds. Of course, the Indian "liberal" media didn't think that this event needed much coverage as it was only a "social" problem as the communists and Mamta Banerjee puts it. But yes, in Gujarat, Hindus of India, have shamed all of human kind by doing such "unspeakable" atrocities on poor innocent muslims.

Hmmm! No wonder Mr. Mahesh Bhatt, came out and spoke his heart about ashamed he was of being a Hindu. The myriad of "liberal" protestors who came on the streets with banners in their hands and slogans on their mouths was enough proof that the "atrocities" were the worst in the history of mankind. Well, that is India for you!

Now let us get back to the earlier topic about people who believe in the Indian constitution. I am talking about none other than the Kashmiri Pandits. I have met a lot of Kashmiri Pandits on the net, on message boards and on chat sites. I ask this question to almost all the Kashmiri Pandits I meet. "Do you think the same way as a Kashmiri Muslim? That you want Autonomy and special rights?" As expected, majority of the Kashmiri Pandits do not believe in autonomy and special rights. All they want is to be treated on equal terms like other Indians. They vow their allegiance to the Indian constitution and for the sovereignty and integrity of India. And what do they get back in return? Tarpaulins tents where they are cramped in like animals. This is the cost of being patriotic, at least in a country called India. But what about the Kashmiri Muslims? How do they feel? In my conversation with an Arabic colleague during my brief 1.5 years in Dubai, before coming to USA, I came to know about how Muslims or Islam as such perceives non-believers. He told me that in Islam there is no compulsion in religion. If you don't believe in Islam, "You go your way, and I go mine". However, it is the duty of every Muslim to make this world a Dar-Ul-Islam. Further, this rule of "You go your......."is not applicable in Dar-Ul-Islam. He also told me that "Allah will never give power to Kafirs". So you should not be ruled by them. For your information, this person is a PhD. having worked in different parts of the world. He also told me that the Koran is non- negotiable. You should never question it. If you believe in Islam , you should not question the Koran (Who else knows It better than Salman Rushdie and Tasleema Nasreen?) You may be thinking why this guy is babbling about the Koran and Arabs and et all. Well, these are the examples which will help you to understand the psyche of a Muslim. When Syyed Shahabuddin comes on National TV and says that Muslim women should not marry Hindu men but vice versa is ok, we should try to understand why is that he says so? Is it because he hates Hindus? Well, the Koran also draws up rules for marriages. And it says that is ok to marry a "kafir" if it is a girl. Well there are always options, like the boy can always convert and then marry a believer. I don't even want to dwell into the topics of Jizziyah

Let me summarize now.
1. Allah will never give power to the Kafirs
2. Koran is non-negotiable
3. A muslim should strive hard to make this world a Dar-Ul-Islam.

Once the Dar-Ul-Islam has been established, as my colleague said, "You go your way rule" DOES NOT EXIST. And you don't need me to tell you that in this world of 61 Islamic countries, only one is democratic and secular. It is not Pakistan, it is Turkey. And when Turkey declared itself secular, all of you know what happened in Kerala (Mappala rebellion). The Khilafat movement was started
and the ever great Gandhi ji legitimized it as part of our freedom struggle.

Anyway, to make long story short, Kashmiri Muslims don't think differently from other Muslims who believe in Islam. If they did, they would not have driven out their Hindu neighbors and taken over their land and belonging. But the fact is that they did drive them out of the house. The day India becomes a dar-ul-islam, most Hindus would meet the fate of the Kashmiri Pandits or more recently
the Bangladeshi Hindus.

In spite of all the hardships the Kashmiri Pandits have been met with, most of them have come out with flying colors in their lives. They have successfully grown in their careers, in India and throughout the world. They have proved to the world that in spite of all the hardships, you can still come up in life. And in spite of the bitterness because of the treatment they were given, the most "militant" (though I don't consider it to be militant), is the demand for Panun Kashmir. A land for the Kashmiri Pandits, within the frame work of the constitution of India. This land will not be having any special laws like Article 370. It is for the persecuted Kashmiri Pandits and those who believe that they are Indians. The only condition is that it should be free from the grip of the Kashmiri Muslims. Is it too much to ask for? When in the last 5 years, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar were split in half, mostly on ethnic lines (tribals and non-tribals), why can't the Kashmiri Pandits be given their piece of land, specially when they don't refuse to sing Vandematarm and don't take orders from across the border? Why not trifurcate the vexed land of J&K into Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh?

But how is that possible? How can a state be created on religious lines even if the state will be within India (irrespective of the tribal- non tribal divisions). My question is when people can be driven out from their homes on the basis of religion, then why can't a state be formed on the basis of religion. Any way, the Kahmiri Pandits are not saying that they won't allow anyone to settle down In that state unlike the current provisions of Article 370.

But as I said, this is India for you. If you take a gun and kill 100 people and then shout that you are a victim, you will be granted 6000 crores in development fund. You can even expect the PM to accept your autonomy demands. If you convert 95% of tribals to Christianity and evict the remaining non Christians in the North East, the government sends special envoys to meet the terrorists in places ranging from Helsinki to Tokyo. Yes, that is India for you. I have heard of Jesus Christ and Gandhiji telling people to show the other cheek when some one slaps you. But Indians have taken this practice to a new level. When some one slaps and Indian, the Indian turns back, pulls down his pants and ask the person to spank him too.

And the cost of being patriotic? Ask the Kashmiri Pandits. Also, ask the Jawans of the Army, whose wives and children were butchered. Yes that is India for you. The PM climbs on top of the Himalayas on one day and says we will write a "a chapter of decisive victory in history" and the next day comes down and says, "There are no war clouds on the Horizon". Great PM! Ain't he? When we have such great leaders, what do Indians have to fear about? I thought our PM had a knee operation and not a spinal operation.

Coming back to the cost of patriotism, it was quite interesting to know that Mr. Lone was a "moderate". A "moderate" who was against India. And our media rained accolades on the slain "martyr for peace". Yes, this happens only in India. A separatist is honored by the media and by the PM of the country. And for the Kashmiri Pandits, let them rot in rat holes which they deserve for being patriotic. Anyways, Hindus deserve to be treated like that for they have done the most inhuman crimes in the history of mankind in Gujarat! Saare jahan se achha "Hindu"stan hamara! This Hindustan is for all except for hindus!

I only wish the hoards of NGOs and "liberal" Hindus would take their time out and visit the Kashmiri Pandit's refugee camps and try to understand that human tragedies should not be dealt with on the basis of religion. Well, but how can you get the "white man's pat" with such an attitude. That would be my next topic. "For a white man's pat!"

I am all for trifurcation of J&K. Let Jammu be a state and Ladakh be a UT. Read this article by Claudi Arpi about Ladakh. www.rediff.com/news/2002/jul/05spec1.htm

As for Kashmir, let its people rot in the hell that they have created for themselves based on their false superiority complexes (of being a muslim).
