Hindutva: Ambassador of world peace-RSS

Hindutva: Ambassador of world peace-RSS

Author: From Our Correspondent
Publication: Organiser
Date: November 2, 2003

"World is looking towards Bharat and its ever-lasting philosophy of  Hindutva to take the entire globe onto the path of peace and progress," maintained the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the Prant Pracharak and other senior karyakartas' baithak at Cuttack. The Sangh further maintained that for this, Hindutva and Bharat first have to emerge stronger to come up to the expectations of people throughout the world.

Addressing a mammoth public meeting at Cuttack, the All India Sah Prachar Pramukh of RSS, Adhish Kumar, quoted the United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan's address to the world community on the occasion of his receiving the Nobel Prize for Peace forthe Year 2000, to prove the point as to how the world is desperately looking towards Hindutva.

"More than the nuclear and biological weapons of mass destruction, it is the intolerant and non-liberal ideology that poses the threat of more intensity before the world peace and brotherhood. They do not want people they opposed to be allowed to live," said Shri Adhish Kumar quoting Kofi Annan's speech which he delivered after receiving the rare honour.

Further quoting Kofi Annan, Shri Adhish Kumar said the UN Secretary General did not simply stop at painting a gloomy picture of the path ahead for the world peace. "That is one part of the story. On the other hand there is another vichar dhara that announces that you have as much right to live as we have, and this is really the silver lining.

"Perhaps Shri Annan shied away from saying that the ambassador of future peace of world is going to be Hindutva. Whatever he said is just what the messages of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Sarve bhavantu sukhina, the ever-lasting messages of Bharatiya scriptures and sages of ages together have to offer from time immemorial," he said.

Making a passionate appeal to strengthen Hindutva as a prelude to take the world onto the path of peace, Shri Adhish Kumar made a point-by-point explanation of priority before the nation and RSS in coming days.

The Sarsanghchalak of the RSS Shri K.S. Sudarshan and Sarkaryavah Shri Mohan Bhagawat were also present on the dais from where Shri Adhish Kumar addressed the gathering for more than one and a half hour.

Posing as to what led the Vatican to decide for beatification of Mother Teresa, Shri Adhish Kumar said that she had been awarded for selling 50,000 India women as nuns to the Christian world. She could recruit 10,000 padris from one of the smallest State of India like Mizoram alone. Under Teresa India proved to be a fertile land for conversion. With beatification Vatican expects to give the dying conversion process a new lease of life, he added.

Challenging the Christian world to keep their houses in order, Shri Adhish said: "Look to your Vatican city. Is it not a fact that not more than 10 to 15 per cent people are going to the churches for prayer? Whereas people in west are increasingly looking towards Hindutva for peace of their soul. That's the reason when Dalai Lama visited the west lakhs of people snapping their ties with Christianity embraced Buddhism."

Referring to a book Danger Bell, Shri Adhish said that mandarins of the church have started treating Hindutva 'as an octopus religion'. The book said that it is not only eating Christianity out but by its touch 'Hinduism simply devours them'. Those people in India, who had converted to Christianity, are also desperately looking to be back in their original faith, Shri Adhish pointed out.

Saying that taking pride in one's own glorious past is essential to develop love and dedication, Adhishji said teaching of distorted history in our classrooms has proved to be the major obstacle in developing a sense of aggressive nationalism among the young generation in the country. "By forcing Aryan invasion theory on our country and presenting history of India as history of domination and slavery by foreign rulers even after Independence, an attempt has been made to not allow the swabhiman of this country to grow," the Sah Prachar Pramukh said. He strongly advocated introduction of right and authenticated history, which could inspire the people of this country to take pride in its glorious past.

"Around 26,000 soldiers of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's India National Army (INA) lost their life in fighting British on the battleground. Another 40,000 people were killed by British for association with INA directly or indirectly-all this is part of our recorded history. Have our history textbooks any thing to say on this? Rather our history has elaborate chapters on foreign invaders who ruled the country for centuries. However the fight against them has always been underplayed," Shri Adhish said.

He further said that Netaji was arrested by the British imperialist for the last time during his satyagraha demanding removal of Halwall memorial from Kolkata. Halwall was the British general who had captured Kolkata. After this arrest Netaji went out ofthe country and resorted to armed struggle and formed INA. "Netaji's satyagraha for removal of Halwall memorial in Kolkata and Ramjanma-bhoomi movement are not different. As Netaji wanted the symbol of slavery to be removed, the Ayodhya movement wants to restore Bharatiya swabhiman, which was humiliated by a foreign invader Babar," the RSS leader said.

"Sangh's Ramjanma-bhoomi movement is an attempt to restore the lost glory of this country," Adhishji said and added that reconstruction of mandirs at Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi would put the honour and self-respect of the country back on the rails.

Stating that people in India and throughout the globe are increasingly coming under the banner of RSS, Shri Adhish Kumar said that there are 50,000 villages in the country where RSS has its shakhas and more than 4 lakh villages have its supporters and sympathisers. In 100 odd countries, where Hindus are living, RSS has already spread its wings, he pointed out.

"People have started taking pride in their Hindu origin. Garv se kaho hum Hindu hain (Say with pride that we are Hindus) are the words found in lakhs of drawing rooms," Shri Adhish Kumar said and maintained that RSS in its 78 years journey has proved its critics wrong who had maintained that "oganising Hindus would be next to impossible". All this has been possible due to an empowered Hindu Samaj, he said and added that from shying away from anything that was Hindu to taking pride in Hindu origin with Sangh's hard work, Hindus have come a long way.

Stating that during Khilafat movement Hindus of Kerala's Malabar were tortured at the hands jihadi Muslims, he said that but the Hindus came out against pro-Pakistani elements there recently and the Kerala Government had to bow down before Hindu unity and a CBI inquiry has been ordered to take the jihadi attackers to task. From the Khilafat to Ayodhya, it's a full circle now and the echo is there everywhere, Shri Adhish Kumar said.

"Now Hindus are destined to determine the future of this country. Sooner the better, since the world is waiting for the Hindus to deliver and to take away from the intolerant and insensitive philosophies of the world and towards a world where live and let live would be the ruling guidelines instead of 'we are the only way-so come with us or perish'," Shri Adhish said.
