Youths from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra,
Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have been lured by Pakistan's ISI to carry out
violent and subversive activities in India, Lok Sabha was told on Tuesday.
It has also come to notice that some of these
youths had visited Pakistan, Bangladesh and received arms training, Minister
of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal said while replying to a written question.
Government pursues a multi-dimensional approach
to deal with terrorism and extends support to the states in neutralising terrorist
activities, he said.
As many as 38 Pakistani civilian prisoners
in Indian jails were released on June 30, 2006 on completion of their sentences,
Jaiswal said adding they were let off after confirmation of their nationality
and issuance of emergency passports by Pakistan high Commission.
