The Hyderabad Police has booked a case of mysterious
death after a missing boy was admitted to a hospital in a critical condition
by three unknown people who later disappeared from the scene. The 12-year-old
boy Mohammed Arshad later died in the Osmania Hospital.
A case has been booked at the Chilkalguda police
station and investigations have begun, said inspector Vinod Kumar. The matter
has created a lot of tension as the boy, who went missing more than a week ago,
told the police in his dying declaration that he was abducted by unknown people
and tortured and forced to convert to Christianity. He said he was not aware
of the home he was kept and tortured.
"When I refused to convert to Christian
and pray according to their customs they denied me the good and beat me up hanging
upside down," the boy told the police before breathing his last. The incident
has created a lot of tension.
