The Sukma district collector, who arrived home on Thursday after spending 12 days in Maoist captivity, has tweeted his desire to visit their families away from the media glare. He tweeted, “Amjad n Kisun were very affectionate to me and so was I to them. Memories of these two boys are making me sleepless.” On Saturday, in a series of tweets from his Twitter account @alexpaulmenon, Menon also unveiled his plans. “Wanna go back to my office, continue doing what all I had planned for this district with the same enthusiasm and passion,” he tweeted.
Later he determinedly announced on the microblogging website, “Have resumed charge in Sukma itself and will go to office today.” It was being earlier said that the Chhattisgarh government had relieved Menon of his charge. He thanked the people around him for moral support. “In 32 years of my life I have not earned any but people and affection,” he tweeted. |
