Hollywood star Will Smith was in Mumbai on Monday for a day to promote an upcoming film. The two-time Oscar nominee and Grammy award-winning actor left for Tokyo last night but spared a few minutes to talk to Bombay Times about his brief visit.
Speaking of his hush-hush trip, he said, "This is my third time to Mumbai and fourth time to the country. I think I should move in with Akshay Kumar! The last time (2016) we had dinner together and it was literally the best food I have ever had. It didn't feel right to call and ask him to send food this time around, as I won't have the time to stop by (laughs!)"
When asked that most fans would be disappointed to not get enough of him this time around, he said, "This is a quick visit. We are running around the world. It's a jet lag tour and it's literally a loop around the world (Sao Paulo, Los Angeles, London, Mumbai and Tokyo). But I get good rest. When you are tired and middle-aged, you don't fight jet lag, just go to bed and take rest."
Speaking about India, he added, "I love the history. I am 90 per cent through the Bhagavad Gita. To be reading that and to be here... my inner Arjuna is being channelled. I am going to spend some more time here for sure. And I love the food at Akshay's home of all things," he signed off with a smile. |
