Police have arrested a suspected ISI operative at Mumbra in neighbouring Thane district for extortion.
The suspect, identified as Taj Mohammed alias Junglee Pathan, was arrested on Friday night by the anti-extortion cell of Thane police.
Taj Mohammed holds a Pakistani passport and has been illegally staying at Mumbra for the last one year, anti-extortion cell officials said on Saturday.
Police have booked ten cases against
him for offences including extortion, attempt to murder and assault
on policemen in the past one year.
