On Sunday night, two SIMI activists were picked up by the Mumbai police from Thane Central Prison in connection with the bomb blast on the Karjat-bound train at Mulund station.

Both Shaheed Nerkai and his brother Anees Nerkar will be questioned about Students Islamic Movement of India's alleged involvement in the blast.

The brothers were arrested by the Thane Town police during Bakri Id this year. They were remanded to 15 days of police custody as a preventive measure and subsequently jailed.

Later, the police claimed that a search of their bungalow it Rabodi revealed incriminating documents. The documents established their involvement in SIMI and gave proof that the place was being used as a SIMI office, the police said.

The seized documents allegedly also contained lists of funds collected for illegal activities. The police also found a map that depicted Kashmir as part of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, four youngsters from Rabodi have been arrested by the Thane police for accessing the SIMI website from a cybercafe in Rabodi.
