Brahma temple gets national monument status

The famous Brahma temple in Pushkar, a Hindu pilgrimage town near here, has been declared a protected monument of national importance.
The only temple in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma was notified a protected monument throught a Government of India Gazette notification.

It was reconstructed in the 14th century and stands high with marble steps in Pushkar town, also famous for its annual livestock fair.

A large number of devotees throng the temple to pay obeisance round the year.
