Delhi-based Educational Resource Centre has sent a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh demanding action against organisers of an academic programme here for serving beef to Hindu teachers.
Five academics of the centre, who were conducting a self-development programme for the faculty of a college here alleged today that they “were made to eat beef through deceit” on June 3.
Sharada Nayak, managing trustee
of the Educational Resource Centre, in her letter to the Prime Minister,
wrote that the “disclosure” (about beef) was made when the lunch was halfway
through and demanded exemplary punishment to the guilty persons.
