I am glad to report on the meeting organised by VIGIL in Chennai today evening. The topic of discussion was the Ayodhya issue. The Chief Guests were Dr. Pravinbhai Togadia and Pujya Swami Vishveshtheertha of the Pejawar Matha of Udipi. The welcome address was by Mrs. Radha Rajan of VIGIL. Her speech was as hard hitting as that of Togadiaji. The following is the excerpts of the speeches given in the meeting.
Mrs. Radha Rajan :
There are only three alternatives
for the Ayodhya issue.
1. We WAIT for the court verdict.
2. We WAIT for a pro-Hindu government
to bring in the legislation to construct the Ram Temple.
3. We WAIT for the muslims to change
their mind and hand over the land to the Hindus.
All three possibilities are nowhere in sight and in all the three cases we the Hindus have to WAIT. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, this is what we are being told. We have waited for 10 centuries and we are not prepared to wait any further.
The very leader who said that if given a choice between staying in power and building the Ram temple he will relinquish power to build the temple, had closed the entire town of Ayodhya so tightly during the Shila Puja that not one Hindu could get into the town. He is presently the Deputy Prime Minister of this country.
I have lost all faith in the courts, in the BJP leadership and in the resonableness of the muslims. The only solution is for the Hindus to become united and stand by leaders like Togadiaji who with the blessings of holy men like the Pejawar Swamiji will lead us to victory.
Dr. Pravinbhai Togadia :
The muslims of India should realise that they are related to the Hindus by blood. They should understand that their ancestors were Hindus. It is wrong to talk of a Jew-German Paradigm here. The Jews and the Nazis were of two different ethnic stock. Here we are all of the same ethnic stock yet the Indian muslims hold a medieval, middle-eastern barbarian like Babar to be closer to them than the Hindus. This should stop. They should stop changing their fathers and fore-fathers.
The journalist Prabhu Chawla asked me why I was particular that the Ram Temple should be built exactly at that spot. I asked him whether his birth-place in Pakistan can be shifted to India. He said - No. Similarly the birth place of Ram also cannot be shifted.
Matters of faith cannot be decided by the court. Will the court give a ruling on whether a virgin can give birth to a child ? Will the court give a ruling on whether Mohamad actually went to Paradise on a horse and came back ?
The Hindus of India are in the process of building a Hindu Highway. This Hindu Highway goes through Ayodhya. Anyone who wishes to go to New Delhi will have to travel through this Hindu Highway touching Ayodhya otherwise they will never reach New Delhi.
I am not against dialogue with the muslims. But I will not agree to having dialogues with the mullah-moulvi types. Dialogue should be with professionals and educated people. Gandhi made the mistake of befriending these mullah-moulvi types and it resulted in the Khilafat Movement. If our leaders continue to have dialogues with these mullah-moulvi types there will be hundreds of Khilafat Movements and Moplah Rebellions all over India.
We need leaders like Ariel Sharon and Vladmir Putin to take on the Jihadi elements. I don't see any such political leaders in the BJP.
The issue is no more about just a temple. The issue is to decide once and for all whether muslims should continue to enjoy the veto power they have to decide what the Hindus should and should not do. Hindus being 85 % of the population may be a majority in numbers but politically they are a minority. Similarly the muslims with 11 % may be a minority in numbers but a majority politically.
I think we made a big mistake by asking for three temples. We should have asked for all the 30,000 temples. A muslim once told me that there should be give and take between the Hindus and the muslims. I said, if you give us 15,000 temples and keep the remaining 15,000 with you, that will be a reasonable give-and-take.
I have found that 80 % of the urban elite are supporters of Hindutva. The masses and classes have to come together to form the right chemistry to make Bharat a Hindu Rashtra.
Pujya Swami Vishveshtheertha :
The Swamiji brought the roof down with this statement. The Lotus (symbol of BJP) will bloom only under the Sun (symbol of Suryavanshi Ram). The Lotus will not bloom under the Moon (symbol of the muslims).
The Secular wadis always criticize only the Hindutvawadis. They have never criticised the muslim fundamentalists, though the muslim jihadis are extremely violent when compared to the Hindutvawadis.
All the three temples at Ayodhya,
Mathura and Kashi will have to be handed over to the Hindus and grand temples
will have to be constructed in all the three places. I want all the Hindus
to work towards this goal.
