A tribal Christian woman on Sunday
embraced Hinduism and married a Hindu boy in presence of her family at
Sector-3 Sitaram temple, here.
Sources said Ilishana Lakra belonging
to a Christian family of Kaliapathra village in Bargaon block fell in love
with one Pradeep Kisan of Khuntlabahal village in Kuchinda and the duo
decided to enter into wed-lock. Later, at a religious ceremony organised
by the Sundargarh district unit of the Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Ilishana
was converted to Hinduism followed by the marriage.
Her family members and various VHP
functionaries were present.
