Govt resolve to fight terrorism

Dear Radha Rajan ji,

As you've correctly suggested, we Indians bring this upon ourselves - consider the following:

1. Just about the time that Noor was entering India, some brave Pakistani thugs were rigging up a bomb in a school bus. Bomb in a school-bus?? Noor went to B'lore to get life-saving surgery, but the school-bus bomb (july 12-Dawn) grievously injured 5 little Indian school girls. These are facts that were available to every Indian journalist - but, none published this obvious, but strange quid pro quo.

2. While a professor from Karachi receives treatment in India for life threatening oral cancer http://www.sulekha.com/redirectnh.asp?cid=313536  at about the same time Pakistani reciprocity sees 18 people injured in a grenade attack at a "bus-stand" in Pulawama http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/cms.dll/html/uncomp/articleshow?msid= 84911 NO Indian journalist pointed out the obvious

3. Khalid Mehmood desperately crosses the border to get the heart of his 8 year old son repaired in B'lore, <http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/030723/170/4rlyn.html> while his generous brethren respond by shooting a little girl Mahajeebana (or Juhi) http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/cms.dll/html/uncomp/articleshow?msid= 84911 Of course, most Indian journalists were too busy taking pictures of Khalid Mahmood and his son, to notice that Juhi lay dying.

4. While our national leaders groveled in front of the fat "father of the Taliban" and uber-jihadi, Fazlur Rehman. Fazlur returned the gesture by singing praises of "Alamgir" and telling us that there was no terrorism in Kashmir (only 10 or so Indians dying every day you see). While we were busy tail wagging at the fat man, some of Fazlur's team-mates killed 8 Indian soldiers, including a brigadier and nearly killed the North Corps commander. Our reaction - peace process cannot be derailed, because of a few misguided militants - so what if they keep killing our brave men - we cannot hold the Pakistanis responsible for this. It was all out fault - why haven't we turned all army camps in our own country into stone fortress - blame the Indian army.

5. To show our thanks for Pakistanis killing Karam Veer (14) and Harpreet (13) at Vaishno Devi, while also seriously injuring Jyoti(10), Kamlesh (14), Sumeet (10 months), Ajay (14), Sureshta (15), Naresh (16) and many other Indian children; within hours of the incident, our leaders thankfully declared that the Indian government will pay for the treatment of 20 Pakistani children http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_318825,0008.htm. Also, glad to see that so many Hindus had been killed - within hours of the Viashno Devi incident becoming public, an "Indian" muslim leader in the US described Pakistanis as our true brothers and sisters. All this must be very comforting to the parents of Karam Veer and Harpreet - I'm sure that they feel the deep need for such Pakistani brothers and sisters.

6.      While Pakistanis were busy going off into tirades about us, as in "The massacres, looting and plunder of innocent villagers by (Indian) troops ... By attacking unarmed civilians, the Indian forces ... (are) obvious targets for aggrieved Kashmiri youth ...The policy of New Delhi has been two-pronged... One, to break the will of the Kashmiris, and two, to physically exterminate them. The Indian government has systemically cut the Himalayan state from the rest of the country, leaving them with scant education and employment opportunities."; our movie heroes in their desire to be liked across the border, flatly refused to criticize Pakistan in Hindi movies http://www.deccan.com/headlines/top4.shtml After all, Pakistanis are our brothers and sisters.

The fact of the matter, Radha Rajan Ji, is that we accept poor behavior and rationalize it - our Rotary club members in Karnataka, were falling all over themselves last week to raise funds for free treatment of Pakistanis in India, while an imam in Karachi boasted that last Friday, he had himself recruited 300 men for killing Indians (jihad-e-Kashmir). It is OK with most of our press, our people, our leaders and us Indians that Pakistanis keep killing our children, women and men - we, due to our desire to nurture, or to be liked, have decided to turn a blind eye to all this. Chalta Hai, we say.

Why blame our leaders - when we ourselves are "like this onlee"?
