Since July 7, 2005 Malayalee Hindus of New York are on renewed spiritual path. For the last one week He had been delivering discourses every evening for two to three hours at different locations around New York City and suburbs. There is a new awakening in the minds of Malayalee Hindus who listen to the discourse of His Holiness Swami Satchitananda of Sree Narayana Guru Chaithanya Madom, located at Perambra facing the National Highway between Chalakkudy and Kodakara in Thrissur district.

His discourses fully encompass the rich legacy of spiritual doctrines inherited from our ancestors and as thought by Sree Narayana Guru, the great spiritual guide of millions through out the world.

This spiritual teacher is a special kind, a combination of Jnanayogi and Karmayogi who is at the service of the needy. He is ever ready to lend a helping hand to the seekers of the divine knowledge, the aadmeeyajnana of our ancestors. Along with this teaching engagement He also has an ambitious project of a multi purpose project of a complex which shall include a Sree Narayana Gurudeva Temple with an icon made of 'Panchaloham'; Sree Narayana Divya Prabodhana Dhyana Center, a meditation hall with total capacity of 5000 people; a Shree Narayana Dharshana Study and Research Center, an International Study Center in association with East West University USA to provide research for Gurudevan's Teachings and Thoughts; a Yoga Training center; Vydhika Parisheelanam, a training Center based on ancient Gurukula Teaching Curriculum and Residential Study Center; Charity Home for Orphans and destitute women; a Museum of History of Gurudevan and his Disciples; and a Guest House for the visitors and Pilgrims.

His ambitious projects of Sree Narayana Guru Chaithanya Madom when fully commissioned shall be an abode of peace to the multitudes of people. People choosing to take the path of Dhyanam, there shall be a serene and tranquil place to pursue Dhyanam for gaining spiritual enchantment, mental solace and purposeful focus of life. This Sree Narayana Guru Chaithanya Madom will also be bound to lend a supporting hand to the faltered and fallen poor in life's journey back to the mainstream of life. It will also provide mental and physical refuge to the desolate and the deserted. Above all this spiritual abode will provide for the poor and the oppressed and it will work for the fulfillment of Sree Narayana Gurudevan's ideals and ideas.

Swami Satchitananda is supported by a selfless band of followers of Sree Narayana Gurudevan who are deeply committed to the spiritual values. They have joined together to lend a philanthropic support to the spiritual project and decided to spare and pool some of their resource towards making this noble venture a reality.

The Reverend Swami Satchitananda is one of the few who can explain and expound on the teachings of Sree Narayana Gurudevan to the common people in a very simple and straightforward manner in simple Malayalam. A lot of the misgivings on the teachings of Narayana Gurudevan have been removed from the minds of the people who listened to the discourses given by His Holiness Satchitananda Swamikal.

This revered Swami is fast becoming a well-respected teacher of ancient spirituality of India. This spiritual master, Satchitananda Swamikal is fast becoming a much loved and respected Guru. The combination of practical wisdom, spiritual insight and ability to teach is making Him very popular within the Malayalee Hindu Community of North America. His life, which has been dedicated to the service of humanity, in it self is demonstrating how spirituality and the ways laid out by Sree Narayana Gurudevan, can help people in finding abiding peace.

His Holiness Satchitananda Swamikal was born in a devout family in Idukki district in Kerala, South India on 12th of December 1957. He was named Sashindran by his parents, Kumaramangalath Narayanan and Gowri Amma. At a very young age He was attracted by the teachings of Shree Narayana Gurudevan and become a disciple of SREE NARAYANA GURU DEVAN at the age of eighteen. Since then Swami Satchitananda has spent His life entirely for Spiritual and Charity work as envisioned by Sree Narayana Gurudevan.

It may be just a coincident that Satchitananda Swamikal also started His spiritual teachings in North America from the same city, Chicago, as Swami Vivekananda commenced His spiritual work. But it is sure that this young Swami Satchitananda will also carry the ancient message of Bharat (India) that all are created equal and all should be treated equally and all must live in harmony and mutual respect to new horizons. During all His discourses Swami Satchitananda very much emphasized this message of equality and peace, just as Sree Narayana Gurudevan reemphasized during His life.
