Bodies of two young girls kidnapped on September 24 were recovered from the field at
Khasiara in Sreepur upazila yesterday. On information, police recovered the bodies of Yogmaya, 18, daughter of Priyanath Baroi and Kajol Bala, 18, daughter of Arbindu Bala of village Dhurun Nagar.
Locals said a group of four or five youngsters kidnapped the girls at gunpoint while they were returning home from Dariapur Health Complex on September 24.
The gang is suspected to have strangled the girls after rape and dumped the bodies in the field.
Police sent the bodies to the Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
No case was filed in connection
with the murder. Police declined to comment on the killing till the availability
of autopsy report.
