Sonia's silence shocking: BJP

The BJP on Saturday said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi's refusal to condemn the Nandigram mayhem, showed the real face of her party. "What is shocking is the deafening silence of the Congress chief on the atrocities on Muslims in Nandigram by their allies, the CPM," BJP spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad said. "Does the silence indicate that their conscience has been over-shadowed by compulsions of power," he wondered and asked: "Will the PM and Congress chief let the nation know whether it bears their stamp of approval?"
