Introduction: Explosion while CPI-M cadres making bomb?

THE Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed grave concern at the incident of five CPI-M workers seriously injured in a bomb explosion at their party office at Kannur (Cannanore) on Sunday, November 12.

Briefing mediapersons, party vice-president K.  Jana Krishnamurthi said it was evident that the party workers who were injured in the blast, had been making bombs and one of them had exploded grievously injuring them.  He expressed hope that the centre would take notice of this event and the Home Ministry would inquire into it.

Shri Krishnamurthi said that the event was ominous since since the state was being ruled by a Front led by the CPI-M.

Kannur district is north Kerala is notorious for CPI-M violence against opponents, mainly the RSS and BJP, scores of whom have been killed or maimed by violent attacks by Communist goons.  The memory of BJP Yuva Morcha leader Jayakrishna Master being hacked to death in his class room almost one year ago is still fresh in the minds of the people of Kerala and, in fact, the entire country.
