Militants shot dead four children in Kashmir, an army official said Saturday.
Army spokesman Jagdeep Singh said the militants stormed into the house of Gian Singh, a village headman, late Friday and fired indiscriminately.
"Four of Gian Singh's children, whose ages ranged from three to 15, were killed," the spokesman said. "Gian Singh and another of his sons were injured in the attack."
The raid took place in
Sarju village, about 160 kilometres north of Jammu.
