The police has recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition and looted property worth around Rs 9 lakh from their possession.

On the modus operandi of the Bangladeshi gang, Mr Narain said, "The gang leader used to select eight to 10 persons for a particular operation. Armed with pistols, knives, khukhris, rods and screw drivers, they used to target a place far away from their residence. Sometimes they decided the place of strike earlier but most of the times, they struck at random.
They always carried movie tickets as an alibi just in case they were stopped for checking by the police during the night. The gang never carried large or heavy items. They preferred to rob cash, jewellery and mobile phones which were easy to carry. The gang also used to sent the looted money to Bangladesh through hawala channel."
DCP, North West district, Sanjay Singh said, during the interrogation, it was revealed that the kingpin of the gang was Mohamad Rashid (35) a resident of district Moralganj, Bangladesh. Gang's conduit was another Bangladeshi known as Dalal, who used to send other Bangladeshi nationals into India via West Bengal border. Dalal was the person who brought several youths from Bangladesh and raised the gang in the capital.
The gang was unusually brutal in
its attacks and targeted houses located in posh colonies in the Capital
and its adjoining areas. On many occasions, they fired their weapons at
the slightest of provocation, not only on their hapless victims but also
at the police personnel who happened to cross their way", Sanjay Singh
said.
