A long time ago this was an option that
was offered to the Muslim community. It was done with an intention of
showing the essence of Hindu tolerance and generosity in arriving at a
negotiated solution. This is a clear indication that the Hindus had no
intention of seeking revenge on the Muslims. It is unfortunate that the
Muslim leadership rejected this offer.
