Sir, One must congratulate Mr Arun Shourie for exposing
highly-placed historians in his thoroughly researched
article, Fabrications on the way to the funeral (July 3).

Apart from being permanent parasites with Indian Council
of Historical Research, these historians have pocketed
handsome royalties by getting their own sub-standard
history books translated.

Not a single volume out of the projected 10 volumes on the
Indian freedom struggle has been published so far. Such
people should be dealt with through legal means.
