The Madhya Pradesh Christian Association (MPCA) on
Thursday urged Prime Minister, H D Deve Gowda to look
into the re-conversion to hinduism of christian tribals
in Raigarh and Surguja districts of Madhya Pradesh,
reports PTI, MPCA president, Pushpa Iyengar in a two-page
letter to Gowda also requested him to direct the Madhya
Pradesh government to initiate a thorough probe into the
activities of the vanvasi kalyan parishad of BJP, MP,
Dilip Singh Judeo. The MPCA president said the parishad,
which was patronised by Judeo, has been indulging in mass
conversion activities among tribal christian. Iyengar
said the association had registered its protest against
the conversion melas, organised by the vanvasi kalyan
parishad in the tribal belts of the state on several
occasions in the past.

She said recently at Judeo's behest, the parishad
organised conversion melas which the BJP MP termed as
`operation home coming'.

The MPCA president said despite several requests to the
Madhya Pradesh government, it had remained totally
inactive and was behaving take a `godfather with a deaf
ear'.
