Introduction: In Sonia Gandhi, the West has vested interests for
obvious reasons.

The Congress working committee resolution of January 16 has
surprised many. Some have described it as an attempt to fight
on the BJP turf of Hindutva as the resolution surprisingly
mentioned 'India is secular primarily because Hinduism, both as
a philosophy and as a way of life, has been based on what our
ancients said ... In fact Hinduism is the most effective
guarantor of secularism in India.' The Congress which has
practised appeasement of minorities, sacrificed Hindu interests
and has forgotten Mahatma Gandhi, has now suddenly found virtues
in Hinduism.

Even after partition, it always played the Muslim card right
from the days of Nehru. In the wake of partition, Nehru raised
the ghost of Hindu communalism, pointing fingers at Bharatiya
Jana Sangh, to scare the Muslims in order to secure their vote-
bank. The Congress was joined by others in competitive vote-
bank politics which resulted in a political jam on a number of
issues like Muslim personal law, Bangladeshi infiltration,
Article 370 and others. Abusing Hindu society and its tradition
in general, and Hindu organisations in particular, became the
litmus test for being secular.

Only when BJP took up the Hindutva cause, the tide began to
turn. The massive debate which followed Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir
Andolan resulted in Hindu backlash. Given this background, the
Congress resolution of January 16 does not carry credibility.
At best, it looks like a tactical change. The same resolution
speaks of continuance of 'minoritism'. It is an exercise in
acquiring a platform of liberal Hinduism for itself, while
continuing 'minoritism' in order to win back the urban Hindu
middle class.

The resolution itself is a part of the grand international
Christian conspiracy to subjugate India once again by a
different method. During the Second World War, American
President Roosevelt wrote a letter to British Prime Minister,
opining that the Britain would no more be in a position to
retain the Indian empire. The letter exists in Transfer of
Power, Vol 2. The letter dated August 5, 1942, however, told the
British PM: '(British) ... and US should try to think of some
arrangement by which India found itself in European and American
(western) orbit rather Asiatic.' It may be recalled that
Christians have the plan of 'cultural evangelisation of India'
by 2000 and beyond. A voluminous book titled Operation World
brought out by a UK-based Christian publishing house.

Dismemberment of India into small countries has been a long
standing agenda of western powers, particularly the CIA. CIA
and various other organisations have been funding hundreds of
organisations to create chaotic conditions in India. Numerous
militant organisations are playing the CIA game, knowingly or
unknowingly. CIA in collaboration with the ISI worked for a
separate Khalistan for almost a decade. The interest of
Pakistan and West coincided in the dismemberment of India.

The gameplan of Kashmir differs from that of Pakistan.

In the north-east, Church-supported terrorism is playing havoc
with local people and the government.

International Church organisations are also involved in it.
Even after the end of the Cold War, many western strategists
wrote that India would be disintegrated as Soviet Union and
Yugoslavia had been.

The conspiracy to dismember India is long term goal of the
Western powers. They have many alternative plans. CIA scholars
have written a number of books about these organisations even
during Jana Sangh days. BJP's gradual rise was a cause for
concern for them as they had properly understood the
implications of the rise of nationalist India. Despite their
best efforts, BJP's rise could not be stopped. Western
operations in India are either secretive or concealed in
wonderful sophistication. Their civilisational attack is also
well-synchronised as has been their armed attack during Gulf War
or recent bombardment of Iraq.

Sonia Gandhi's arrival as the party president and chief
campaigner during the general elections of 1998 marked a change
of gear in their fight against BJP. One can remember the way
Sonia Gandhi was projected during the election campaign which
gave her the mega-image just within a month. In Sonia Gandhi,
the West has vested interests for obvious reasons. One should
not underestimate the power of the Western Christian lobby here.
Christian population may be just 2.5 per cent, but they enjoy
disproportionate influence in India for five reasons: Backing of
the western countries; (b) patronage of the international
Christian missionary organisations; (c) presence of the extended
hand of the West spread over politicians, bureaucrats,
academicians, media, artists, trade and industry personalities
and others, i e the whole establishment; (d) support of all anti-
BJP forces; (e) 10 to 15 per cent of elite - educated in
Christian schools and colleges and positioned in the decisive
posts. This worked in favour of Sonia Gandhi. In terms of
media muscles, they carry almost the whole of English media and
50 per cent of vernacular media. That played a trick during
general elections. But despite their best efforts, Vajpayee-led
government came into existence against their wishes. Western
powers and powerful sections of the establishment felt defeated.
Pokhran-II angered the West and its lobby in India. They worked
to defeat the BJP in assembly elections of four states. But
their immediate target to remove BJP-led government remained
unfulfilled.

Therefore, the conspiracy to topple the government, by defaming
BJP on the minority turf - this time Christian - was hatched. A
mountain out of a mole-hill was created by the powerful western
Christian lobby supported by their extended arms in India. Not
a single person died in the so-called Gujarat holocaust.
According to two Gandhians, Ghelubhai Nayak and Chunni Lal
Vaidya, working in Dang district for 50 years Gujarat: 'During
the last five years nearly two dozen idols of Shiva and Hanuman
revered by the tribals have been desecrated or broken and in one
instance the converts urinated on the idols of Hanuman; the
converts threw stones on a rally of the Hindu Jagaran Manch on
December 25 which became the flash point for the clashes.'

But look at the worldwide propaganda - even Pope is concerned at
the Gujarat violence. US is so enraged by the so-called
violence that it is thinking of sanctions against India.
Ministers of Canada, Germany and many other countries have made
their contributions to the mighty propaganda.

In India, it is an age-old practice of Christian fathers of
donning saffron robes like Hindu sanyasis in order to create a
climate for conversion by not attracting hostility in the local
area. The resolution of January 16, too, is an exercise in
political deception like donning of the saffron robe by
Christian fathers.
