ISLAMABAD (July 24) International
Mahmood Ghaznavi Conference would be held here on July 28 to mark Mahmood
Ghaznavi Millennium celebrations.
The one-day conference
to be addressed by Federal Minister for Education Zubaida Jalal would be
attended by 17 eminent scholars of international repute.
The conference organised
by the Asian Civilisation Society would be held at the auditorium of Allama
Iqbal Open University at 10 a.m. Director Institute of Asian Civilisation
Dr Ahmed Hassan Dani will deliver the keynote address while former Chief
Justice Dr Nasim Hassan Shah will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Colonel Mukhtar Gilani
and Naveed Zafar will read papers on "Mahmood as a Commander" and "Administration
of Mahmood of Ghazna" respectively.
The Asian Civilisation
Society has also arranged publication of a special book on this occasion
titled "Ghaznavi to Somnat".-APP
