ANGERED BY last week's
massacre of Amarnath pilgrims in Kashmir, Nepal-based Hindu organisations
have launched a campaign against Pakistan for assisting terrorists in India
and anti-Hindu activities in the Himalayan kingdom.
To begin with, the Nepal
Swayam Sevak Dal, often called the Nepalese version of the RSS, today took
out a rally against, what it called, "the killing of about 100 Amarnath
pilgrims by Pakistan-supported terrorists."
Giving a militant twist
to the anti-Pakistan campaign, the Shiv Sena (Nepal) has decided to lay
siege to the Pakistani embassy here on August 28. Earlier, the Sena,
having no links with Bal Thackeray's outfit, had tried to evict Kashmiri
Muslims, some of whom are settled in the world's only Hindu kingdom for
generations.
The Pashupati Sena, another
outfit, too has come out strongly against the Kashmir violence.
Dal volunteers marched
from Ratna Park to the Pakistani embassy at Maharajgunj and handed over
a protest letter, warning Pakistan of "grave consequences" if it continued
to support terrorist violence and anti-Hindu activity.
