Shri Ram Janambhoomi
Trust President Mahant Ram Chandra Paramhans today demanded a ban on inflow
of foreign aid to Christian institutions, expressing his concern over "suspicious
activities" of foreign missionaries in north-eastern States.
In a joint press statement
issued here along with senior trustee Jagatgura Ramanujacharya Purushottamacharya,
the Mahant demanded divesting of special status being enjoyed by "separatist"
religious minorities.
"Reservation facility
should also be withdrawn from those persons belonging to the scheduled
castes and tribes who have converted to Christianity," they said.
Warning of agitational
programme against the State Governments of the North-East, the Mahant said
steps should be initiated to safeguard the interest of the Hindu community
there.
The Mahant alleged that
Hindu temples were perpetually under attack in the North-East and Jammu
and Kashmir and Hindus were not allowed to exercise their religious rights
enshrined in the Constitution.
