Our Concerns General Elections
Voters of Indian origin should consider
the following issues before casting their vote in the next general elections
to be held on 7th of June:-
1. British government's reluctance
to take strong action against organisations linked to terrorism in Kashmir.
Is your MP in favour of banning the Khalistani and Islamic terrorist organisations
named by the Home Office?
2. The lack of public funding for
Indian organisations in comparison to other South Asian communities. Does
your MP realise the tremendous contribution being made by the Indian community
in the field of health, education and trade in the UK?
3. The British government's refusal
to compensate the Gurkha war veterans who fought alongside British soldiers
during the two World Wars.
4. The reluctance to consider our
demands for our separate identity as Indians rather than "Asians". Does
your MP condemn the attacks on Hindus by Muslims in Bradford? Does he realise
that the Indian community has the lowest crime rate in the UK?
5. The blatant abuse of influence
by political leaders like Lord Ahmed who is raising funds for a coach trip
around the UK to raise "awareness" about the so called heavy handed approach
of the Indian government in Kashmir. Does your MP condemn the terrorism
Pakistan is spreading in India and in other countries?
Please remember that this is an
opportunity to raise our voice.
Please vote and show that WE matter
