Dhaka, Bangladesh:
From our news representatives:
In the capital's Swamibagh Ashram
(a famous Hindu religious center), a bomb explosion occurred during the
prayer (kirtan) session on December 88th, 2001. The sound of the explosion
was very loud, however no one was reportedly injured. The temple
administrator explained to this reporter that the prayer sessions occurred
every Saturday evening and this was no exception. Suddenly, a bomb
was hurled inside the center. The session stopped due to the explosion.
The Ashram authorities stated that the principal members of the center
barely escaped from being severely injured or death. No group has
claimed responsibility. The police has been in the scene after the
explosion and have left after taking observations.
