Will you take BJP's help in temple construction movement as did in the past?

Singhal : We shall not allow this programme to get affiliated to the BJP any more. BJP The BJP has ditched us. Atal and Advani have backstabbed the VHP. In the eyes of the people they have proved to be enemies of the temple movement. This is also the general view of most saints. The BJP only drew political advantage out of this movement. But it has done nothing. Its leaders too have lust for power.

Don't you think that politicians in general have lust for power. Why are you singling out BJP?

Singhal : Yes. They all have insatiable lust for power. Most of them can even sell of their country for personal gains. They would succumb only to people's power.

President of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust Mahant Ram Chandra Das Paramhans has said that the VHP was never serious about temple construction but busy installing BJP governments. It has lost political identity?

Singhal. Yes, we were partially wrong in supporting BJP. We thought it was a Hindu and a nationalist party and would espouse our cause. But it has badly belied our hopes.

Will you shun claims to Varanasi and Mathura shrines if Ayodhya disputed site is handed over to you and if Muslims agree to withdraw their claims in Ayodhya?

Singhal : This was a foolish BJP suggestion. The VHP shall never never shun claims to Varanasi and Mathura shrines come what may. They are equally important for Hindus. We have already given up claims on 30,000 Hindu shrines that were destroyed by Muslims.

What is your plan to woo masses in a big way for temple construction movement?

Singhal : We have decided to tie-up people for Ram temple cause nation-wide. As part of the plan VHP workers and saints would tie a "Sankalp Sutgra" (Sacred thread) to over 10 crore people to get their commitment to the cause of Sri Ram temple construction. If MPs fail to pass a new law their effigies would be burnt in their constituencies.in the final stage a Kar Sewa would be organised which would be like a tornado. Let them drench the streets of Ayodhya with the blood of Hindus.

What is the final date for this plan?

Singhal : It would be announced soon. Under this plan, the VHP and Bajrang Dal will organise a 'Mass Sankalp Sutra Poojan" also. People would worship the "Kalav" (Sacred sutra) and take a vow. The sacred threads would then be taken to villages during "Jan Jagran programme". This is being done to compel MPs to pass a new law in Parliament declaring the disputed site as Sri Ram Janmabhoomi.

What would happen if MPs refuse to oblige you by committing to pass a law in Parliament to declare the disputed site as Sri Ram Janmabhoomi?

Singhal : Then such MPs would be exposed before the people., Their effigies would be burnt in their constituencies. I am sure they will never get elected in future. People would not allow them to get inside their constituencies. MPs should not forget that eighty per cent of the people of this country are Hindus. They only need awakening.

What do you think is the biggest hurdle?

Singhal : The Muslims shall never allow construction of Sri Ram Remple in Ayodhya. A majority of them are fanatics. They are opposing it and will always opposes its construction by blood and iron. It is madness to hold talks with them.

The perverted secularists who are worse than spies and traitors are the second stumbling block.
