bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad in PoK. Pak response : Accepts
in principle, but with a rider that check points should be manned by the
UN officials and people should travel with UN documents
Indian proposal : Holding of second
round of talks for restoration of air Links and overflights. Pak response
: Accepted and second round of talks to be held on December one and two.
Indian proposal : Discuss resumption
of rail links after aviation talks and increasing the services of Delhi-Lahore
bus service Pak response : Asked not to link air and rail services talks
and favours early resumption of Samjauta Express
Indian proposal : setting up of
links between the Coast Guards on the pattern of Directors General Of Military
operationss Pak response : Accepted
Indian proposal : Stop arresting
of fishermen within certain areas in the Arabian sea. Pak response : Setting
up of a regime under which even if they are arrested, they would be released
in a month or so
Indian prtoposal : Issue visas in
cities other than New Delhi and Islamabad. Pak response : Accepted in principle
but wants Mission strength to be restored to 110, as existed before December
2001.
PAK NOT KEEN ON PEACE PROCESS
New Delhi : Sources in the ministry
of external affairs said, "Pakistan's response to Indian peace initiative
shows their mentality. It only proves that Pakistan is not at all interested
in taking the peace proposal forward."
On the contrary they want to impose
fresh riders aimed at derailing the process of peace between India and
Pakistan.
