Kashmiri terrorists belonging to
the Lashkar e-Taiba (Army of the Pure) have reacted to the Israeli assassination
of Hamas leader Ahmed Yassin by threatening to attack. Indians.
Explaining their threat, the Lashkar
e-Taiba communique declared: "It is known Jews and Hindus are two sides
of the same coin."
Lashkar e-Taiba is part of the Markaz
Dawa Wal-Irshad, an Wahabbi Islamic fundamentalist organization based in
Pakistan. The Indian government has held Lashkar terrorists responsible
for, among other attacks, a series of massacres on August 1-2, 2000, in
which more than 100 persons, mostly unarmed civilians, were murdered within
24 hours.
