Maulana Gulam Yahya Allah Baksh, who has been arrested for terrorist links, was planning to go to Pakistan for training.

Sources in Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) said that the seized documents from Baksh revealed that he was planning to leave the country soon. He was supposed to get two types of training. Apart from training in handling weapons, Baksh was also supposed to get trained in planning terrorist activities.

Sources said that he was to be trained by Lashkar-eTayyeba (LeT) men at the Indo-Bangladesh border. The training camps here are believed to have started about two to three years back. Baksh is said to have links with Salauddin, a LeT commander in Jammu and Kashmir. The ATS has got tapes of Baksh's conversation with Salauddin, which were regular in the past few months.

The J&K police are also trying to take Baksh's custody. Sources said that the J&K police have been in touch with the Mumbai ATS. "They want to investigate Baksh's links with the LeT and also about the funds he transferred in Kashmir," said an ATS officer.
