Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader
Mohan Bhagwat today distanced the RSS from the sleaz CD episode involving
pracharak Sanjay Joshi.
Speaking to reporters here, Bhagwat made it
clear that the CD issue was a personal crisis for Joshi and not for the
RSS as a whole.
"It will have no impact on the RSS. It's a personal blow for him. He
is trying to come out of it," he said.
Asked if he felt Joshi was framed up, Bhagwat
was non-committal: "Maybe, may not be.(ho sakta hai, nahin bhi ho sakta
)."
Earlier, addressing a meeting of the Rotary Club here, Bhagwat, in an apparent
reference to Joshi, said among the main crises faced by the Indian society
was the crisis of character.
"In our culture, personal character is as important as national character.
Some people slip up, while some are framed up. We should let the bygones be
bygones, but others must learn the lesson that they won't make a slip and
also won't allow oneself to be framed up."
