One month before riots that took place in
Achalpur, Mufti Ismat, an active member of SIMI arrested in Gujarat was holding
meetings in Muslim areas. In his meetings, there was planning of attacking
Hindus of which the Intelligence Bureau had submitted a report to the Government.
(The Govt. did nothing to prevent attacks on Hindus despite getting information
about the same; then why should Hindus need such Govt. Hindus must not rely
on anyone for their protection and become self-sufficient - Editor) The Government
had knowledge that since Ganesh festival went off smoothly, there would be
attacks during Navaratri festival. (The Government remained indifferent although
it knew that Muslims were planning to loot Hindus. Such pro-Muslim Government
makes it imperative for Hindus to revolt - Editor). Even then the Government
had not taken due precaution. Badruddin Merchant, a wholesaler of kerosene
had provided barrels of kerosene mixed with petrol for burning properties,
houses and shops of Hindus. This shows that the riot started by Muslims was
pre-planned. The above accusation was made by Shri. Diwakar Raote, a Shiv
Sena leader and MLA in the press conference. (Such rioter Muslims would not
let Hindus live in this country; only revolution would help to drive them
away - Editor).
While giving information about the riots,
arson, looting, attacks on jewellery shops and rampage by Muslim rioters,
Shri. Raote said that Muslims were raising slogans of 'Allah-ho-Akbar' as
they closed down the roads and started arson, looting, attacks on Hindu houses
lasting for 3 hours. (Maharashtra is following the footsteps of Kashmir. -
Editor); but for 4 hours, police kept away from the scene. (This is the real
form of pro-Muslim police. Hindus must remember these police during revolution.
- Editor). Police, who were present, also went into hiding, as they were afraid
of cruel Muslims. (Why Hindus need such police ? - editor)
Shri. Raote said that from the year 1989,
5 times riots occurred in the area; but police did not find out any permanent
solution to the problem and again this riot took place involving loss of Rs.
75 crores. On top of that the State Government has declared financial aid
of Rs. 20 lacs and rubbed salt on wounds of Hindus. (Congress that takes care
of Muslims and spends crores of rupees for their welfare, should be ousted
by Hindus in the forthcoming elections. - Editor) The supplier of kerosene
and the main offenders have not been booked by the police and they are absconding.
(Hindus must unite and make the Government to catch hold of 'jihadi' criminals
and severely punish them. Remember that if they go scot-free, even your life
will be in danger - Editor). Cause of the riot was playing of song 'Hum mandir
wohi banayenge'. (Are Muslims going to decide which songs are to be played
by Hindus in their processions? Are Hindus in Pakistan? - Editor).
Shri. Diwakar Raote called on the State Chief Minister along with the riot-affected
citizens and submitted a representation to him; the CM then assured to extend
due help. (Hindus need to give representation for getting help whereas the
Govt. is eager to extend help to Muslims - Editor).
The CM said that the declared help of Rs. 20 lacs is temporary and informed
that orders have been issued to immediately arrest the offenders, release
innocent Hindus and give stringent punishment to miscreants. He also promised
to make enquiry of those police officials who did not extend timely help to
Hindus as also to take strict action against the kerosene supplier. The CM
also assured to make available loans to owners of shops looted in the riots
through banks at concessional rates. (We do not need only promises but want
action. The Congress CM should give a report on implementation of his promises
- Editor).
Shri. Sanjay Band, MLA from Valgaon, Shri.
Someshwar Pusadkar, leader of Shiv Sena from Amaravati and a few riot affected
citizens and businessmen accompanied Shri. Raote. Shri. Bacchu Kadu an independent
candidate elected from Achalpur declared that he was going on hunger strike
for 3 days during Diwali as the help offered by the State Government was meager.
The situation is getting normal in Achalpur with curfew now restricted to
only night time.
