Arrested SIMI general secretary Safdar Hussain
Nagori was in Hyderabad last year for exploring the possibility of setting
up a terrorist training camp in Anantgiri hills forest range in Vikarabad,
about 80 km from the city.
This was disclosed by Mohammed Baleeghuddin
Jaber, the alleged SIMI activist, during interrogation, police said. Naseeruddin
is in an Ahmedabad jail for his involvement in the Haren Pandya murder case.
Police said Jaber told them that Nagori during
his visit to the city had asked him and his aides to search for a place to
organize a jihadi camp close to Hyderabad on the lines of one that had been
conducted at Castle Rock in Karnataka.
Nagori had also held talks with Abdul Subhan
Qureshi alias Tauqeer, Raziuddin Nasir, Muqeemuddin Yasir, Motasim Billah
and Mufti Abul Bashar on this. While Nasir and Yasir - Jaber's brothers -
are in jail, Billah is out on bail.
According to Jaber, they all agreed to provide
logistic support for the camp and he, Yasir and Billah zeroes in on Anantgiri
hills.
