Lashing out at "Sonia Gandhi's Congress"
for trying to defame the "Indian Army and Hindus", VHP leader Pravin
Togadia on Tuesday warned of a "Hindu backlash" at the same time
clarifying that it will be in a "democratic and political" form.
This implies that the Sangh Parivar organization
will put in its full strength to ensure BJP victory in the forthcoming polls.
Togadia was referring to the arrest of Pragya Thakur and the campaign against
the Bhonsala military school and the allegation of serving army personnel
being involved in terror acts in Malegaon being probed by the Mumbai ATS.
With terror being one of the key issues for
BJP in its electoral campaign, Sangh Parivar organizations including VHP and
Bajrang Dal seem to have consolidated their forces and seem to be working
at lending the Hindutva-edge to the campaign in favour of the party for the
coming assembly polls and the subsequent Lok Sabha polls.
Referring to the investigations against Pragya
Thakur and armymen with regard to the Malegaon blasts, Togadia said, "Congress
is conspiring against Hindus and the Indian Army without doing anything at
all to curb Islamic terror which is the biggest crisis to deal with for the
country."
Sticking to its hardline Hindutva agenda,
the VHP leader flanked by RSS and Bajrang Dal leaders told reporters that
"little issues within the parivar" are no longer a concern. Togadia
was reacting to questions on his differences with Gujarat chief minister Narendra
Modi. He refused to be provoked into Modi or Advani.
Not only did he refuse to get into any controversy
by expressing views on whether he supported BJP chief Rajnath Singh's remark
that those who follow Hindutva ideology can never be involved in terror acts.
