SL offers 'Ramayana Trail' to Indians

The Sri Lanka government has declared 2011 as 'Visit Sri Lanka Year'. S Kalaiselvam, Director General of Sri Lankan Tourism Development Authority, who was in Ahmedabad on Friday, announced this government's integrated communication campaign.

"We have organised three roadshows in India; the one in Bangalore is already over, today it is in Ahmedabad and the last one will be held in Delhi next Tuesday," Kalaiselvam said. Elaborating on the attractions for Indians in the island country, Kalaiselvam said, "Our flagship attraction is the 'Ramayana Trail', covering over 52 sites identified by the Sri Lankan Tourism Promotion Bureau in collaboration with the monks of Ramakrishna Mission and Chinmaya Mission."
