Female students trained to carry out attacks
on anti-Islamic groups, foreign missions
Explosive material already shifted
Three female students of Jamia Hafsa have
been trained to carry out suicide attacks on those groups, who are allegedly
anti-Islamic or 'misguiding the people' across the country, sources told Daily
Times on Thursday.
According to a report prepared by an intelligence
agency, the government officers might be the prime targets of the attacks,
who did not agree with their ideology or are considered anti-Islam.
According to the report, the students prepared
for the suicide attacks are identified as Maryam Fatima, daughter of Ghulam
Muhammad, a resident of Sadiqabad, Ayesha Naseer, daughter of Naseer Ahmad,
a resident of Jafarabad and Seema Tabassum, daughter of Manzoor Ahmad, a resident
of Baseer Colony, Model Town, Bahawalpur.
The report further added that these students,
aged from 14 to 16, had been given complete training of suicide bombing. An
intelligence agency has also confirmed this report and advised the senior
police officials to adopt foolproof security arrangements to protect the people
and keep a close surveillance on the suicide attackers.
After receiving the report, the authorities
suggested the intelligence agencies and experienced police officers to become
alert and collect more information regarding Jamia Hafsa.
Report further said some Jamia Hafsa teachers,
one of them an explosives expert, has been involved in imparting training
to the suicide attackers. The intelligence agencies and police, and even the
staffers of the law enforcement agencies in plain clothes, were monitoring
the hideouts and residents of the people mentioned in the report, but still
no practical action has been taken against them.
The police are also keeping surveillance of
the close relatives of the suspected suicide bombers.
Sources told Daily Times that arrests would
be made after collecting complete, solid and comprehensive evidence against
them because an immediate action could spread panic across the country. Another
intelligence agency report revealed that terrorists had planned suicide attacks
on the security agencies, sensitive installations, foreigners and foreign
missions and had shifted ammunitions and explosives in a large quantity to
different parts of the country.
According to the intelligence report, some
terrorists with code names Abu Bakar, Mama, Baitullah, Abdul Rehman, Malang
and Saifullah, along with some accomplices, have planned suicide attacks on
the security agencies, sensitive installations, foreign missions and foreigners.
The report further revealed that these extremists
had succeeded in shifting rockets, ammunitions and explosive material at large
scale to different parts of the country. After receiving the said reports,
the Ministry of Interior has issued a circular to the home departments of
all provincial governments, inspector general (IG) of Islamabad police, the
Islamabad chief commissioner, provincial police officers and other security
agencies to immediately put security on high alert across the country, especially
on the foreign missions, sensitive installations and buildings and law enforcement
agencies to avoid any untoward incident.
