The political brawl between Congress and BJP over Ramdev continued on Sunday with Congress MP and spokesperson Shakeel Ahmad saying, ''BJP and RSS must be sad and wondering why Baba did not perish as they would have gained huge political mileage out of the issue.''

That Ramdev was not alone was evident when Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, former Haryana chief minister Om Prakash Chautala and Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy reached Haridwar on Sunday lending the yoga guru their support.

Balkrishan said, ''Baba Ramdev has considered the request of hundreds of his followers and from the saints' fraternity. He will take the satyagraha forward until his last breath.''

He said the first phase of Ramdev's crusade against corruption that began at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh in September 2010, has ended.

''The second phase of agitation would begin in three months,'' Balkrishan said, adding, ''The stir has created mass awareness among people against black money and corruption.''

Doctors said Ramdev would be discharged from hospital in two-three days. Vijay Dhasmana, the hospital director, said, ''I am thankful to everyone who came here and helped
Ramdev break his fast.
His health is not such that he can be discharged today (Sunday). It will take two-three days for him to be out of this hospital. His condition is stable and he has broken his fast.''

Another spiritual guru, Morari Bapu, said, ''I came to meet him and to take stock of his health. I am happy to note that he has broken the fast and taken juice. Whatever message he wanted to give has been given.''

Ramdev aide Acharya Pradyumna said although the yoga teacher has agreed to break his fast, ''The day is not far when we will win the battle against corruption and forces which are encouraging corruption in the country.''
