The Hindu Panchayat (HP) and the Shehree Ittehad (SI) continued protests on the 40th day on Wednesday against the kidnapping of a Hindu girl Ayesha Kumari.

A big protest rally, led by the HP and the SI leaders Mir Ahmad Ali Khan Brohi, Babu Mahesh, Lal Chand Seetlani, Ayaz Lahooti and Abdul Hye Soomro, started from Sarrafa Bazaar Chowk. It marched on different roads of the city and terminated outside the SSP Office, Jacobabad, where the participants staged a sit-in for two hours.

The participants of the rally raised slogans against the police and demanded early recovery of the kidnapped 16-year-old Hindu girl Ayesha Kumari. Addressing the rally the HP and SI leaders strongly condemned the behaviour of the SSP Jacobabad and the performance of the police.

They said it was the 40th day that the teen-aged Hindu girl was held by the kidnappers and police had only been giving assurances of her recovery.
