Evangelist Brother Anil Kumar, son-in-law of late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, is embroiled in a real estate settlement controversy that also involves Marketing and Warehousing Minister Mukesh Goud's son Vikram. Surprisingly, while the police have registered a complaint against Vikram, they have not taken any action against Anil Kumar.

Real estate dealer Sambasiva Rao (52) lodged a complaint with the Sanathnagar Police Station on Saturday alleging that Vikram Goud and Brother Anil Kumar threatened him and asked him to pay up Rs 15 crore after a land deal in Ranga Reddy district that they were negotiating fell through. Rao had borrowed Rs 2 crore from Vikram, who is a real estate agent, and was also interested in the land as Rao partner.

Rao alleged that he has returned Rs 70 lakh and sought time to repay the remaining Rs 1.30 crore. According to Rao, Vikram and Anil Kumar wanted him to pay Rs 15 crore to make up for the loss they suffered in the failed land deal.

"At least 18 people kidnapped me from my house and threatened me of dire consequences if I did not pay up. I was taken to a house where Minister Mukesh Goud was present. I am not sure if he knew what was going on, but before he left he asked me to try and settle whatever the quarrel was as quickly as possible. Then his son Vikram assaulted me, slapped and kicked me. I received calls from Brother Anil Kumar and Vikram threatening that if I reveal it to anyone my son would be killed,'' Rao said in his statement to the police.
