As a sulking Amartya Sen decides to quit as Chandellor of Nalanda University, what the MSM will not reveal is the manner in which the University functioned. Whether they save the questions for another day we don't know, but the defence of the Nobel Laureate has begun in right earnest.
From doubts on academic freedom in India to why we are disowning a person who Harvard and Trinity hold in high esteem, all types of questions are being raised. The MSM is desperately trying to sell the story that a political opinion against the ruling dispensation cost him his post. Sample these reactions below from the secular luminaries,

What would the Amartya episode be without this kind of reaction from a secular eminence like Shabana. This has nothing to do with Modi's lunatic fringe, yet it's secular to say so and so they will!

Shouldnt a Bharat Ratna awardee be free from the dispensations of the Political Party in power? Shame that#Amartya Sen is forced to resign

And while you wonder why the MSM is not asking the tough questions to Amartya Sen, it will do good to read this story done by us some time which spoke of why Nalanda is ailing at childbirth

Nalanda University is ailing at childbirth | IndiaFacts
September 1 2014 was a day of pride for the people of India, and specifically the people of Bihar as the Nalanda University, once an ancient international centre for learning, finally started functioning eight centuries after it was looted and plundered by Bakhtiyar Khalji around 1193 CE.
