Nidhi Yadav lost four family members in an accident in October of last year but that has not stopped her from preparing for her Higher Secondry Certrificate exam which began Tuesday.

Nidhi lost her mother, grandmother and two sisters, and had a fractured hand herself. While the physical pain has taken its toll, the menatal agony that Nidhi has undergone has been tremendous. She however remained determined and will now appear for the exams with the help of a writer as her hand has not fully recovered yet.

Nidhi's father - Hasmukh Yadav - has played a crucial role in helping her stay focused despite the setback suffered himself. An employee in a local court, Hasmukh helped Nidhi in her studies.
