Had gone to Hyderabad to give a talk on nationalism. with all the Media hype about sedition and caste complications was apprehensive what the mood of the general public would be with all that media brain-washing about how it is so fashionable to be anti- national and seditious.Was pleasantly surprised to see some 5000 people turn out with national flags and moving patriotic songs.i was deeply moved when people walked up and said you are not alone . it suddenly began to rain heavily as the program started. but not one soul moved out. they sat patiently in the rain - all of us got soaking wet but enjoyed it .Advocate Monika Arora gave an excellent talk about the legal aspects of the JNU debate. Ultimately it cleared up and we had a stirring set of speeches. sometimes i think our true culture and civilisation were preserved in the South only- where the invaders reached last. You can feel the spirit of the Satvahans alive there. We must have more such open forum debates on nationalsim free speech hype by communists ( itself an oxymoron!) and our campus fashion statements on sedition. We are facing an orchestrated Indian SPRING- an Arab Spring type information assault to destroy the idea of India and weaken our will to hold on in J&K. WE MUST FIGHT BACK!
