Why are Friends of Pakistan asleep?

Kulbhushan Jadhav was awarded a death sentence by a field general court martial.  Marathi manus, Kulbhushan is a retired Indian Navy commandant and after retirement he formed a company in Iran. He started a marine transport business there.  Many years have passed since then. Last year came the news that Pakistan army arrested Jadhav on the border of Baluchistan. It came as a great shock to Indians because, Jadhav was nowhere related to Baluchistan or Pakistan. After settling in Iran, he started his marine business over there. ‘How did such a person enter in Baluchistan area of Pakistan? What did he do over there?’ such questions worried many Indians in the country. The answer has been provided by a spy service in Pakistan.

According to them Kulbhushan Jadhav had not retired from Indian navy.  He was working as an Indian spy near Pakistan. He was accused of planning espionage and subversive activities in the country. But Pakistan could not give a satisfactory clarification about how Kulbhushan reached Pakistan?

The Indian government strived hard to seek a clarification in this regard. But the explanation was never provided. Of course, the government has its limitations in this regard. But friends of Pakistan in India should not have such limitations.

These friends of Pakistan are quite renowned. Whenever an artist or player from Pakistan faces a problem in India, theses friends rush to help them leaving aside all the work in their hands. Should they not do anything for Kulbhushan taking all the help from friends of India in Pakistan?

The devotees of Pakistan always claim that Pakistan and India might be two hostile neighbours but people in both the countries share a close friendship bond. These devotees include famous personalities such as Naseeruddin Shah, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Jatin Desai, Barkha Dutt, Sudheendra Kulkarni, late Dileep Padgaonkar etc. These people visited Pakistan for a peace Summit two years ago.  Along with them Vedprakash Vaidik also visited the conference.  It was ‘surely a coincident’ indeed that all the directors who cordially invited these friends of Pakistan are ex- officers of a spy agency in Pakistan.
The mentioned spy agency has given rise to ‘great Shantidoots (messengers of peace)’ such as Hafiz Saeed, and Masood Azhar in Pakistan! Thanks to them, that these friends of Pakistan sing praises day and night about how peace would be established if India makes friends with Pakistan! But they remain mum when Indians such as Kulbhushan or Sarvajeet are trapped by Pakistan. These friends of Pakistan hide themselves somewhere or go absconding. Even now we have not heard voices of any of these friends of Pakistan on any channel after the news of death sentence to Kulbhushan Jadhav. But when Ishrat Jahan was killed in Ahmedabad as a spy from Pakistan, the friends of Pakistan did not leave any stone unturned to criticize all the police responsible for the killing of Ishrat. They even felt extremely sad over the death sentence to Afzal Guru who attacked the Indian Parliament. Something similar might take place beyond the border; but not a single person is available to answer the question--why the love for India in Pakistan has been lessened?

The friends become restless when there is a demand to put a ban on artists from Pakistan in some movies of Shahrukh Khan or Karan Johar! Pakistan has not ousted Kulbhushan but the authorities in Pakistan have kidnapped Kulbhushan and sentenced him to death without any charges. If this is the test of love between the two countries, then the players or artists from Pakistan should be arrested by police here, should be accused with charges of espionage and sabotage, and a case should be filed in a field general court martial. In order to prove the love of Indians for them, death sentences should be awarded to such artists or anyone from Pakistan.

If such things happen, only then Pakistan will perhaps learn some hard lessons and some kind of wisdom would dawn on these so- called friends of Pakistan also. If some guest artist from Pakistan is trapped in a case or sentenced to death then these friends would realize the intensity of the situation. Then we can demand an explanation from them on Kulbhushan’s death sentence. There is no other civil way.

The Indian government is trying to contact Kulbhushan for over a year. Many repeated requests have been made by India to allow India lawyers in Pakistan to meet Kulbhushan for the legal help. But Pakistan has refused all. Another shocking fact is Sartaj Aziz, an adviser to prime minister of Pakistan, has also admitted that Pakistan does not have any strong evidence against Kulbhushan. In spite of all this, how a death sentence was awarded to Kulbhushan?  Pakistan does not have answer to this question. But at least the lovers of Pakistan should have a reason of such a strange love of Pakistan. Why Kulbhushan, who is a common man, was brought before the army court? At least we should get answer to this question!

Actually, there is a golden opportunity for the lovers of Pakistan in the country. There is a chance to lash out at the ‘unnecessary hatred for Pakistan’ spread in India! These friends of Pakistan have many close friends holding very high posts in Pakistan. Using those contacts Barkha Dutt or Sudheendra Kulkarni should work out a plan for the bail of Kulbhushan and later release him. Against this, by suffering imprisonment or death sentence, they can provide strong evidences about the magnanimous love by Pakistan towards India! They will have a direct entry to jannat, and Indians will get testimony of love of Pakistan.

Naseeruddin Shah had claimed to receive great love and respect in Pakistan. He has a great opportunity to prove that the treatment that Kulbhushan received in Pakistan is not revenge but a shower of love! Naseer should visit courts in Pakistan and demand that instead of Kulbhushan he should be blessed with the love of Pakistan.

Outwardly we may get angry on Pakistan army, spy agencies or Pakistan government! But Kulbhushan Jadhav or Sarvajeet Singh are not victimized by Pakistan. The devotees of Pakistan in India are the real hunters who have taken them right in the clutches of the monster! Pakistan has always committed such sins but the devotees of Pakistan in India do the sacred work of hiding the sin! That is why a maulvi of Nizamuddin Dargah is trapped there or Kulbhushan gets trapped in a death sentence. Mere criticism or loud protests are not going to help! Pakistan should be made to pay a heavy price in India! What is the point in showering them with flowers when all that they understand is the language of rebuke and thrashing! Pakistan should be taught some strong lessons in the language that they understand.

Preparing ourselves to retaliate right their way would be the first step towards the release of Kulbhushan!
