Controversial journalist Sagarika Ghose decided to give social media users a glimpse of her hypocrisy on the occasion of International Yoga Day after she decided to attack the Modi government for promoting Yoga:

As seen in the above tweet, Sagarika after claiming to be a believer in yoga, expressed concern over why the government needed to promote it. She thus attacked the Modi government for rapidly becoming “an escapist Bollywood film” to distract people from the prevailing hard realities.

Social Media users after noticing her tweet did not take her attack on face value and decided to dig a bit about her past views on this subject. Almost predictably, they managed to uncover her tweet from back in 2010 when she was trying to preach something which is completely contradictory to her current outburst:

As seen in the 2010 tweet, Sagarika is seen questioning why the NDA government did not promote the Hindu causes like Yoga, Ayurveda or Ganga while it was in power. But eight years onward when the Modi government is indeed doing the same, Sagarika – rather than taking credit for it, has decided to launch an attack.

Incidentally, the hypocrisy of Sagarika extends to other matters.

We had reported in July 2017 how she had tried to expose filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, during the latter’s troubles owing to protests by the Congress against his movie Indu Sarkar. This though didn’t end well for Sagarika as Bhandarkar saw through her move, and coolly went on to expose her own hypocrisy.
