Tanvi Madan (@tanvi_madan) tweeted at 7:11 PM on Sun, Mar 15, 2020:
Hey Indian & international media: when you're amplifying these dudes on their own trip rather than the advice of govts & healthcare professionals, you're contributing to the very problem you claim you're highlighting. https://t.co/LY1PDY4u4D
(https://twitter.com/tanvi_madan/status/1239185037968510976?s=09)

The tweet refers to two reports – one by Reuters and the other by The Indian Express.  They relate to an organisation that claims that Gaumutra will cure corona, and the reports have a picture of some ten members drinking it at a programme.  One has to wonder if the story was given to the two organisations by the same reporter from the ground.

Tanvi Madan has rightly questioned these two news outlets about their perverted priorities.  However the Reuters report seems to have got some traction.  Before we look at this traction, we need to look at this tweet:

Siddharth Mishra (@Mr_Siddharth) tweeted at 0:09 AM on Mon, Mar 16, 2020:
This Chakrapani is fake baba and he has direct links with Samajwadi Pary & Congress leaders.
Akhada Parishad has already given statement about his fakeness, I am sure this was planned to defame Hindus.

The person who has made the claim about Gaumutra has a very dubious background, and links to both the Samajwadi Party and the Congress party which has been turned into a Nehru-Gandhi family firm.  Perhaps it is these political links that enabled Chakrapani to organise the media coverage.

Now coming to the traction.  Please see these three tweets:

Prof. Steve Hanke (@steve_hanke) tweeted at 1:34 AM on Sun, Mar 15, 2020:
My colleagues at @JohnsHopkins have informed me that  #CowUrine does not ward off the #Coronavirus. If anything, it is a recipe for even more ailments. #India needs science as a guide.
#IndiaVsCorona. #CoronavirusInIndia.

China generating global headlines for its quarantine (and initial cover up), while India generating coverage like this: "A Hindu group hosted a cow urine drinking party on Saturday as they believe it wards off the coronavirus..." #softpower

These three gentlemen(?) have used the Reuters report to once again display their Indiaphobia – using a rare news from a fringe organisation with dubious ‘secular’ political connection and projecting it as to how the present Indian government is going about tackling the problems due to the corona virus that started from China.  In their anxiousness to display to their colleagues that they are more Indiaphobic than their colleagues, the three gentlemen(?) have programmed their minds to filter out what the real steps that being taken by the government, and the members of the health service, as in this report:

Coronavirus in Karnataka: System well-oiled, says positive woman

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/bengaluru/coronavirus-in-karnataka-system-well-oiled-says-positive-woman/articleshow/74665052.cms

Using exceptions to first acquire Indiaphobia and then continue to display it every opportunity is a programme that is not of recent origin, as I have narrated in this article:

Antipathy – a case of Indiaphobia.

http://www.hvk.org/2020/0320/50.html

The three gentlemen(?) are associated with organisations that would like to consider themselves to be mainstream.  I wonder if they would even consider that they should do some meditation to clear their minds and look at India differently.  It is not that India has no flaws.  The people who have a deep interest in the well-being of the nation not only recognise them but also try to work to resolving them.  To phraphrase Madan, these three gentlemen(?) are ‘contributing to the very problem (they) claim (they are) highlighting’.
