It was the day of 27th Feb 2002, A news came that a mob of Mslm burned 59 Kar sewaks alive who were travelling in a train at Godhra Junction of Gujarat. This news created sensation

But story of Godhra doesn't start from here, Story of Godhra starts from 1946.
Godhra was result of what was happening in Gujarat since 1946 on name of secularism

First communal major riot happened in Gujarat at 1946 at Ahmedabad.
Ahmedabad was major center of Muslim league at that time. A dispute happened in Jaganath rath yatra that turned into communal riots.

Lot of Hindus were killed in those riots. After independence Ahmedabad became the major industrial city of India n between 1950-60 lot of Muslims migrated to Ahmedabad.
1960-70 was the decade of riots in Gujarat.
Between 1961-71, 16 districts in Gujarat were rocked by communal violence, recording some 685 incidents in urban and 114 in rural areas.
Of the 685 incidents of communal tension in urban Gujarat recorded for the decade, 578 occurred in 1969 alone

Biggest riot happened in Gujarat was in Sep 1969 when a mob of Mslms attacked a pilgrim of Sadhu who was carrying Jaganath rath yatra.
The violence took over 1,100 lives and property worth several crore rupees was destroyed.

From 1950 to 1990 there was Congress govt in Gujarat n on the name of secularism Congress favored one community.
Congress brought KHAM theory that means
K = Koli
H = Harijan
A = Adivasi
M = Muslim
n basis of this theory Congress ruled there 30 years.
Congress also promoted a mafia don Abdul Latif (Raees) in 80s n 90s who was a liquor smuggler.
People says his goons used to harass Hindus n kidnap Hindu Girls.
A massacre happened in 1985 at Ahmedabad where goons of Latif burned 8 Hindus alive

That turned into big communal riots, Congress party saved all Latif goons. Under Congress rule Mslm got free hand and Hindus were being oppressed,It kept going till 90s.
On other side BJP identified the Hindu anger in Gujarat n started to work on Hindu Mobilization.

BJP took Gujarat as laboratory of Hinduism n BJP got success in it n broke the Congress KHAM alliance in 1995 n formed the Govt.
As BJP govt came, they encountered Abdul Latif.
That time Congress was very powerful they took help of BJP dissatisfied leader Vaghela

Congress destabilized Keshu Govt
BJP govt cud not complete their 5 years n fell in 1998
BJP won again in 1998 but Congress kept attacking on CM Keshubhai Patel.
Patel's popularity was going down n he was also not strong for BJP's Hindutva agenda.
BJP changed their CM in 2001
n made a little known inexperienced person Narendra Modi as CM of Gujarat.
Till then Muslim community that was nurtured by Congress govt had become very powerful in Gujarat, despite of BJP govt, communal incidents were keep going

N peak of this 56 year of congress one sided secularism came on 27th Feb 2001.
It was Sabarmati Express train, that was going from Ayodhya to Ahmedabad n carrying 1700 Kar sewaks who went to Ayodhya for purnahuti yagya.
It reached Godhra Junction at 7:43 AM n as it left station someone pulled chain.
Godhra is a Muslim majority town. Suddenly a mob of 2000 Muslims led by a Congress leaders with petrol cane gathered there.
The train was attacked by a mob of around 2,000 people.
After some stone-pelting, four coaches of the train were set alight, trapping many people inside.
59 kar sewak including 27 women and 10 children were burnt to death, and 48 others were injured.

Communal incidents were happening in Gujarat from last 56 years n most of the time victims from Hindu communities.
Gujarati r peace lover but this incident of Godhra worked as dynamite for Gujarati Hindus.
This news created sensation everywhere in India.

The day was 27th Feb 2001
I saw tears in eyes of lot of people that day.
That day lot of Hindus didn't cook the food at their home n what happened after 27th Feb 2002 is now History.
Congress always favored one community in such situation but this time there was BJP govt injustice n oppression that innocent Gujarati hindu had been facing from 56 years due to pseudo secularism of Congress was just waiting for one spark now
N not spark an explosion had happened
